How Much Does ISO 9001 Certification Cost? (2026 Guide)

Like ISO 27001, “ISO 9001 certification” means two different things with two different price tags. Here's the breakdown.

Two different “certifications”

There's individual certification (you becoming a certified ISO 9001 professional) and organizational certification (your company's quality management system being certified). They cost very differently.

Individual training costs

For a professional, the cost is the accredited course with the exam included: Foundation from ~US$315 and Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor from ~US$990. See live pricing on our ISO 9001 course pages.

Company certification costs

Certifying an organization involves implementation (internal time and/or consulting), training your team, and the external certification audit paid to a certification body (Stage 1 + Stage 2, then annual surveillance). Size and maturity drive the total.

What drives the cost

Scope, current maturity, and whether you build capability in-house or outsource everything. Training your own people is the biggest long-term saver.

How to reduce it

Use a local accredited partner, train a core team through corporate training, and spread individual course fees over a monthly payment plan.
