What an ISO 27001 Lead Implementer does

An ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer builds, runs and improves an organization's information security management system (ISMS) and gets it ready for certification. It's a doing role: scope, risk assessment, controls, documentation, and audit readiness. That's different from a Lead Auditor, who assesses a system rather than builds it.

Step 1 — Build your foundation

Step 2 — Take the Lead Implementer course

Step 3 — Pass the PECB exam
